Tasty Tuesday: Sauteed Green Beans

I don't know if I would really even call this a recipe or just a concoction.  But it is delish!  It can be a great side dish to a steak, or you can eat it for a meal, like me!  I get all of this from Wal Mart.  I'm sure you can find these little green beans somewhere else too.

1 bag of Marketside Green Beans (found in the fresh produce)
1 container of sliced mushrooms
Minced garlic- I never measure this because I LOVE garlic. So I put a lot!!
1/2 of a small yellow onion
olive oil

Steam the green beans in the microwave in the bag, according to the directions
Coat a pan with olive oil & dice the onion
Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and mushrooms to the pan and sautee for about 3-5 minutes
Once the green beans have finished steaming add them to the pan and toss for a few more minutes

Voila! That's it!  See delicious, cheap, quick, and healthy!

Menu Plan

We went to my parents' house yesterday to eat some boiled shrimp and swim for Father's Day!  So we have some leftovers to eat!

Monday- boiled shrimp salads with homemade remoulade dressing and sauteed string beans (recipe tomorrow)

Tuesday- Skinny Taste Fiesta Lime Rice
This is probably one of my favorite recipes lately.  I eat it once a week.

Wednesday- Thai Coconut Shrimp Curry (shrimp and skinny taste AGAIN)

Thursday- stuffed bell peppers with leftover fiesta rice topped with cheese

Friday- Sesame Seared Tuna (from Pinterest)

OOTD

It is getting unbearably hot here. I can't remember the last time I wore pants to work. I've been sticking with dressed and skirts lately. I actually need to find a couple more work appropriate length dresses.

Speaking of it being so hot... I fell off the wagon with running. It is just miserable with the humidity.  And I have a genuine concern that I will pass out.  Even at 5:30 a.m. its sweltering...

Getting to see my husband for the first time since Monday!  He's been staying out of town all week for work.  And in 4 years we've never been apart at night except for the night before our wedding.  This week has been tough.  I can't wait for him to get home this afternoon!!!
